Deep in the heart of the British countryside lies a very special place indeed;

A place where if you are very quiet and very still you will soon realise that

you are not alone…close encounters of the furred kind await us all

Fat Cat Theatres 'Otters Tale'

Meet Roger the Otter, Harry the Heron and many more in this delightful show. Featuring beautifully crafted puppets, “An Otter’s Tale” is full of laughter, excitement and adventure. Commissioned by Natural England (formally English Nature) this brand new puppet show features some of the best-loved animals of the British countryside

‘The animal puppets were superb and a great success, truly engaging and fascinating to the children. Jane had spent the summer researching the real animals who live at Shapwick Nature Reserve, on which her delightful puppets were based, so that they would be accurate in both appearance and behaviour, and they certainly were! But more than this, using her range of animal characters and voices, serious messages were cleverly woven into the stories, together with many amusing and sometimes moving moments. The show was commissioned by English Nature to raise young audience’s awareness and understanding of nature, but the final product far exceeded our expectations’

‘An Otter’s Tale is exciting, moving, entertaining and full of fun. Jane had the children laughing, reacting and thinking throughout the delightful and moving show. Jane uses her many years of acquired nous doing children’s parties to great advantage, impressively using the lovely, characterful puppets. Unequivocally recommended’
