An exciting new workshop from Fat Cat Theatre Company
A fantastic opportunity to experience and join in another culture
Choose from the Baka Forest People (Cameroon, Congo, Gabon)
Or the Masai People (Kenya, Tanzania)

During the workshop the children will learn about the culture, traditions and way of life of the chosen group, including hunting, fishing, house building, food preparation and ceremonies. We also learn about the animals that live nearby and the local environment

The workshop includes:
· Drama (for example, recreating a “day in the life” of the people)
· Dancing (with drumming by Jane)
· Drumming (if drums are available at your school)
· African mask making
· Jewellery making
· Simple costume making, eg traditional blankets if choosing the Masai
· Puppet making
· Face painting
Choose activities from the list to fit the time available

The workshop lasts a minimum of one day. Can last a week and lead to a drama performance
